Ever have to perjure yourself for political reasons? I... well, not lied: I have virtually no ability to lie, not convincingly, so I use untruth basically for humor and little else. But the things I have to do and say sometimes, while technically in the realm of truth and socially in the service of kindness or convenience, nauseates me a little. Feels like too much coffee on an empty stomach.
