Likewise, the only talk I've found about the stock market reaction to Greece's troubles has been from actual economists.
The apparent need many women have for pointless drama is mind-boggling. They lose so much, so often, by insisting on misunderstanding. I know you're thinking about it from a "relationship" point of view, but it doesn't end there. Oh, no. My patience with the crap is so thin I can see through it.
There are a couple of movies out there about Independence Day (American, specifically) that are definitely worth seeing. One you've likely seen, and is named for the day, and is a load of fun. The other is named for word play on its date, and you likely haven't seen. But do. When a mockumentary starts coming true within a couple years of its release, one should probably pay attention.
Returning to the Greek problem: Greece and Puerto Rico are worldwide headlines
everywhere except for in the U.S... where we have a debt load on the
same order of insanity, and for identical reasons, but with the ability
to paper it over for now with more money printing. Oh, and those are
just the top items. No mention of China's troubles, among others, which
are born of similar causes, outside the financial news outlets. Why the silence? So much running
about, hair afire, for relatively minor things, getting the vapors over issues built from bad syllogisms, indirect as hell, but not any of this
global effect, and absolutely no mention in social media (barring the rare observant ones who cover such things anyway). Makes one wonder.
That's not true, of course: I don't wonder at all. I'm just disgusted.
What I do wonder about is people who first declare something to be inconsequential, a non-issue, and then spend great gobs of time and often money fighting it. I don't wonder why they do it (they are lying to themselves and then trying to make the lie true), I wonder why they think no one will notice the discrepancy.
